26 September 2025
From 22 to 26 September, NATURSEA-PV was actively represented at the 42nd European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition (EU PVSEC), held at the BEC in Bilbao, Spain—Europe’s leading event for photovoltaic research, innovation, and industry dialogue.
Our partners contributed to multiple sessions, showcasing the project’s technical progress and strategic vision for offshore floating solar energy:
- Linda Kemp (MARIN) delivered a presentation on the test results and validation of the NATURSEA-PV substructure, designed to withstand marine conditions while supporting efficient solar energy generation.
- In the parallel session organized by TECNALIA—New Sustainable Concepts for Floating Photovoltaic Plants in Marine Environments (Offshore and Nearshore), Iñigo Mendikoa presented the objectives and current advances of NATURSEA-PV to an audience of industrial and technological stakeholders.
- The session also featured a panel discussion titled “Scaling FPV for the Energy Transition”, where Asier Sanz and Iñigo Mendikoa joined experts from academia and industry to explore future pathways for the deployment of floating PV technologies.
These contributions reinforced NATURSEA-PV’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and real-world impact in the renewable energy sector.
