Exciting progress from our partner PREFFOR (RDC): the production of the floating concrete substructure, the heart of the NATURSEA-PV prototype, is officially underway!
This milestone marks a crucial step in the project’s transition from design to real-world implementation. At PREFFOR’s and RDC’s facilities, the team is manufacturing the eco-designed, high-performance concrete elements that will support offshore photovoltaic panels in marine environments.
The substructure is based on bio-inspired geometry and made with low-impact, ultra-durable materials, developed to withstand harsh sea conditions while ensuring long-term sustainability.
